Golden Bear Ceramics Company (Golden Bear) is developing and commercializing high quality stone and ceramic products from 100% recycled mineral waste feed stocks. Our Research and Development ("R&D") efforts are focused on developing green building products for floor, counter top, wall, roof, and paving applications.
Continuous production of tile from a variety of waste material feed stocks has been demonstrated in our pilot plant facility in Grass Valley, CA. Approximately 50 different mineral feed stocks have been successfully tested to date, including tailings from mine operations, waste fines from aggregate and stone quarries, glass, and fly ash from coal fired power plants.
Golden Bear is planning to install and commence operation of a new plant using available commercial technology in Grass Valley. The plant will be capable of producing premium quality tile products for additional marketing studies and to assist with the design, construction and operation of full scale production plants. Future plans include development of a series of larger plants in North America and LEED ("Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design") certification of GBC's stone and ceramics products.
