Golden Bear is developing floor and wall tile products at its facility in Grass Valley, California. These attractive products look much like natural stone and compare favorably with the best porcelain tile. They have high strength and abrasion resistance, with very low water absorption. Our dimensional control provides the best and most consistent tile on the market.
We are evaluating various feed stocks and associated blends to produce a variety of colors that will be attractive to consumers, architects, and designers.
Our current R&D projects also include the development of roof tile, building cladding, and paving stone, all based on 100% recycled materials using commercially available technology. We are researching Cool Roof technology to produce energy efficient roof tile that is expected to be in big demand due to upcoming changes to government regulations.
